WMD: Weapons of Mass Destruction
Weapons of Mass Destruction are a major cause of loss of life and property . A Weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a weapon that can kill and bring significant harm to a large number of humans and cause great damage to property and buildings.The first use of the term “Weapon of Mass destruction” on record is by Cosmo Gordon Lang, Archbishop of Canterbury, in 1937 in reference to the aerial bombardment of Guernica, Spain.
Bomb or other warhead that derives its force from nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, or both and is delivered by an aircraft, missile, or other system is called a nuclear weapon.
